TUcard pick up

Students newly enrolled at TU Braunschweig for the summer semester 2025 can pick up their final student ID card - the TUcard - from 24 March directly at the Study Service Centre, Pockelsstraße 11 (in the Haus der Wissenschaft) during opening hours:

Monday - Friday: 10.00 - 12:00 and
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons 14:00 - 16:00

• Please bring a photo ID - i.e. your identity card, passport or residence permit.

• You will receive your personalised TUcard with protective cover
• and the Welcome-Bag with useful information for the start of your studies.

The TUcard is your student identity card at the TU Braunschweig. It is also

• library card for the University Library (UB) and has a
• Payment function for the cash desks of the Studentenwerk and for printouts at the computer centre (Gauß-IT-Zentrum).

• Please validate your TUcard at one of the validation terminals first. You can view the locations of the terminals here. Your student ID card is only valid once it has been correctly validated. In the following semesters, please validate your TUcard again after re-registration in order to extend its validity.
• To use the library you have to register at the UB with your TUcard. You can find more information here.
• Please keep your TUcard in the protective cover provided. This is specially designed so that your card only needs to be removed for validation of the envelope.
• Lectures start on 07 April 2025.

To avoid damage to the card, please use a suitable cover. Protect the card from bending, high heat or scratching, among other things.

in order to prevent misuse.

A new card can be issued for you at any time in the Student Service Centre.
However, in case of loss, damage to the card due to improper use or a technical defect for which you are responsible, you will have to bear the costs for the creation yourself.
